hot totally unsupportable take: the mainstreaming of this whole pose is traceable to Ancient Aliens. The history channel blew up with this one program premised on “we’re not only saying crazy shit, we’re asking crazy questions.” And everybody was like “oh this is how we get eyeballs now”

I really don’t know my way around this ecosystem but apparently yes like you just hop into someone’s stream and I guess it’s good for exposure and eyeballs regardless of political overlap.

That’s more or less how it works. Functionally it’s not SO different from 24-hour news channels having guests call in from different media orgs to debate about a hot topic.
